Spoken Word Video By Aisha Mirza

Note from Poet: This was originally written during the summer of 2014 when Gaza was invaded by Israel, who bombarded this small strip of land with bombs, tanks and gunfire. The biggest victims of any warfare are women and children and that summer we saw thousands killed and so many innocent civilians injured. It is a grave injustice that Palestine is still subjected to this onslaught of inhumane treatment. This must stop. The killing must end. Peace must be found. May the people of Palestine find justice, and have their human rights that they have been stripped of restored. Everyone has a right to freedom.

This poem won third in the Interpal writing competition that celebrated 20 years of their work out in Palestine and all over the world.
